In the summer of 2017, Joey Hoffmann (21) from Haaksbergen will first be missing in Turkey, shortly thereafter also the two fellow villagers with whom he had traveled from the earth’s floor. From that moment on, the missing case takes a remarkable turn almost every day.

For three weeks, reporter Koen Nederhof tries to explain the insane story from southeast Turkey. In the Netherlands, the idea that Joey’s travel companions, Björn and Derya Breukers, are more likely to know more about the loss. Yet there has never been a completely closing solution for what happened there. Seven years later, Koen shares the most likely theory.
