Rents have been rising in Berlin for years. The new rent index also allows increases of more than five percent.
Rent expenses should not exceed one third of household income. But the reality often looks different. Many Berliners already pay more than half of their salary for rent. How about you?
The result of the last survey: We wanted to know from you whether Berlin should expand district heating further. A clear vote. Yes, that is the energy supply of the future, say 68 percent of the participants (1504 readers). 17 percent are against it because the expansion is too expensive. 15 percent don’t care.
