Mother Teresa doesn’t just stand for good deeds, in the case of Jack White she also has a few good jokes up her sleeve. The musician split up Instagram an anecdote about his mother Teresa, now 95 years old.

Accordingly, she called her son when the USA was almost completely taken over by a snowstorm. The result was bitterly cold temperatures and danger to life on the streets. So first of all, a reason to stay at home.

White’s mom asked her son via FaceTime from Detroit how he was doing, but in a humorous way: “They’re on the news saying to check on the elderly during this ice storm, so I thought I’d give you a call.”

Jack White’s mother had her son when he was 45

According to his own statements, the singer then had a real fit of laughter. The sprightly, older lady is still almost unknown to his audience, but she helped shape at least half of the accomplished guitarist’s talent. “I love you, Teresa. (She was 45 when she had me),” White added in the post.

But she obviously still plays a role in the lives of those who surround the musician. Carla Azar, drummer on White albums like “Blunderbuss” and “Lazaretto,” responded to White’s comment: “I love Teresa so much. Years ago I asked her if she would adopt me. She said, ‘Well, you might not be the right age to be adopted anymore.’

We learn that the ability to not take the world too seriously contributes at least a small part to growing older.
