Os Lusitanos were in second place in the championship group prior to the match, while Hovocubo took third place. The well-filled Calvijn Sports Hall in Amsterdam saw Hovocubo take the initiative in the first minutes. This quickly resulted in Joshua St. Juste’s deserved opening goal.

Sander van Dijk’s team doubled their lead in the second half. After laconic defending from Os Lusitanos, Lahcen Bouyouzan made it 0-2.

Os Lusitanos tried to get back into the match in the second half, but Hovocubo defended strongly and did not back down. Goalkeeper Dave Stet kept his team going with a number of great saves. Even in the closing minutes, when Os Lusitanos started playing with an extra field player at the expense of the goalkeeper, Hovocubo easily stayed upright. The score remained 0-2 for the visitors.

With the victory, Hovocubo leapfrogs Os Lusitanos in the standings. Hovocubo is now second with as many points as the Amsterdam team. However, Hovocuvo has a better goal difference. Tigers Roermond is top of the table and has a seven-point lead over Hovocubo and Os Lusitanos.

A summary of the match between Hovocubo and Os Lusitanos will follow later on this website. This can also be seen in a new broadcast of NH Sport on television (5:10 p.m.).
