With regard to apartments, Limburg remains the cheapest province, with an average price of 257.006 euros (+0.2 percent). West Flanders, which had the highest prices due to the real estate market on the coast, lost its leading position to Flemish Brabant.
According to Van Opstal, there is a correction in the market of the coastal apartments, which means that the average prices in West Flanders fell back by almost 6 percent to 289,729 euros. “After a huge peak in the transactions in the aftermath of the Coronapandemie – which was much larger on the coast than in the rest of Flanders – fewer coastal apartments are now being sold and these are usually also the less expensive apartments.”
