House full of hemp plants discovered in Drunen, resident arrested

On Tuesday morning, the police raided a house on Abraham Kampstraat in Drunen that was almost completely full of cannabis plants. The value of the harvest-ready plants runs into the many tens of thousands of euros.

The hemp farm was professionally installed, with switchboards and extraction systems. No one was in the home at the time of the raid.

Resident (41) arrested
Officers called the resident. The 41-year-old man from Drunen then came to the house and was arrested.

Energy company Enexis was also present at the raid. All hemp plants and equipment were removed in containers and destroyed by a specialized company.
