A house on the Dommelborch in Rosmalen was destroyed by fire on Sunday night. The fire was discovered around two in the morning. The fire brigade went to the Dommelborch with several vehicles to fight the fire.
When the fire brigade arrived, the flames already hit the house. The resident managed to get out on time and remained unharmed. However, all the help came too late for her cat. The animal did not survive the fire.
Damage enormously
The damage to the house is huge. The fire destroyed the ground floor, but the first floor was also badly damaged. Houses in the same block suffered smoke damage. The fire brigade has ventilated the affected homes.
How fire could arise is still unclear. Despite the night time, the fire attracted a lot of attention.
