Horse fishermen are going out again, hundreds of tourists are enjoying it

“I estimate, without exaggeration, between 700 and 1,000 people. We have become super famous,” says horse fisherman Eddy D’Hulster. It is a big difference for the horse fishermen compared to 20 years ago. Then there were barely 30 tourists watching.

Families with children who spend the Easter holidays on the coast have little luck with the bad weather. But a spectacle like the horse fishermen still attracts people. “We don’t let the weather put us off. Sleep a little longer, have breakfast together. Enjoy the sea, the beach, the shrimp fishermen. It’s fantastic,” says Andrea Spinoy.
