Dieuwke Wynia, Matthijs van Nieuwkerk’s horror sidekick at De Wereld Draait Door for many years, is angry about comments made by Jan Slagter. “He has an agenda: he wants Matthijs,” she believes.
A scandal book is on the way about the legendary Matthijs van Nieuwkerk show De Wereld Draait Door. His former horror sidekick Dieuwke Wynia has adopted the role of victim and mainly points out what others have done wrong. And she will also do that in that new book. Misplaced, says Omroep MAX boss Jan Slagter.
Dictator
Jan thinks Dieuwke is hypocritical. “How she humiliated other people and raged there like a roaring lioness… Then I find it very easy to write newsletters and a book about others as a victim, while you have not yet looked properly in the mirror. She was seen as a dictator in the editorial office and people were afraid of her.”
Jan’s statements in front of the Shownieuws camera were received with approval in the program’s studio. Celebrity photographer William Rutten there: “I know many people who worked on the floor and they were much more afraid of her than of Matthijs.”
Dieuwke pissed off
Dieuwke criticizes Jan’s statements, she said in a blog post Substack. “Jan Slagter, subscriber and avid reader of my Substack, gives quotes on radio and television that day. The broadcaster never misses an opportunity to attack me. Not because he is principled, but Slagter has an agenda: he wants Matthijs. How? By smearing me.”
She continues: “If I am the villain, Matthijs becomes relatively innocent. And a rehabilitated Matthijs is interesting for Slagter – he can then work at broadcaster MAX.”
What does Jan say?
What does Jan have to say about that? He says otherwise in writing Show news: “Read Dieuwke’s blog in which I was mentioned. Complete nonsense, I am not talking to Matthijs about programs at MAX.”
“My criticism of her has nothing to do with that. She tries to clean up her street and even harms people who have died. She will earn a few cents from the book.”
