The Eindhoven hospitality industry is fully preparing for a possible championship of PSV Sunday. Among other things by stocking up a lot of beer. A year ago a beer deficiency arose during the champion party in many places. “We learned from last year,” says the catering boss of Eindhoven.

It is fast switching this week for hospitality entrepreneurs in Eindhoven now that PSV has been in its own hands since Wednesday.

“We can prepare carnival for months. This must be arranged within a week,” says Ruud Bakker of the Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN) Eindhoven, Thursday evening in Omroep Brabant radio program Afslag Zuid.

“Does everything come in on time?”

Fortunately, according to him, the hospitality industry is used to arranging things quickly, so that the stress level of the entrepreneurs is not so bad. “The only stress we have comes from whether everything will arrive on time? But I think healthy stress is good,” says the chairman.

It is hoped that the liters are in time in time, because they have taken a big time in any case. “We learned from last year,” laughs Bakker. Then the pubs were bulging and the beer was gone in many things in no time.

“Snakes in the beer tanks to fill.”

Hospitality entrepreneurs do not let themselves be done again. “We are going for it. After Sunday’s champion party, the snakes are immediately put in the beer tanks to fill them. But scenarios were also devised with which the tanks with beer during the event when a beer shortage threatens can be topped up.”

On the Stratumseind in the center of Eindhoven, screens will hang out on Sunday when PSV visits Sparta and has to win to be sure of the title. Just like last year, the hospitality entrepreneurs expect to run a weekly turnover in one day.

That is different if PSV grabs next to the championship and they stay with liters of beer. “Then the hospitality industry has to pay for this to a large extent, but we have the fullest confidence that we become champions,” says the Horecaman, who himself runs a catering establishment in the Philips Stadium.

“Prices remain the same.”

And there is more good news for the PSV fans. They do not have to worry that hospitality entrepreneurs will calculate the costs of the champion party and the ceremony to the guests. “The prices for a beer remain the same as always. It is not that PSV is champion and that a beer becomes more expensive. We remain hospitable and ensure that everyone has a great party,” Bakker assures.
