Hoogeveen played the remainder against Sparta Nijkerk in the 3rd division. The match was stopped at the end of November when the Drenthe team had a 1-0 lead and even with ten men, coach Stef Lamberink’s team achieved a victory. The third in a row.
VKW – DZOH is the top contender in Drenthe in the 1st division J and both teams have started the new year well. VKW won against two top players (Oranje Nassau and WVV), while DZOH lost to HZVV, but saw the gap to leader Oranje Nassau shrink since the turn of the year. For VKW, the team from Westerbork still has to look down, as evidenced by the current promotion/relegation spot.
The top match in the Sunday 4th class D, between Buinen and Nieuw Buinen, was a victory for the visitors. SETA’s top scorer, who recently transferred to Nieuw Buinen, became the match winner with two goals. SETA, from Musselkanaal, recently withdrew the main team from the competition and so the players were allowed to look for a new club.
BEW is in the lead in the 5th class A, but SV Hoogersmilde and Balkbrug follow closely and the last two teams faced each other in Hoogersmilde.
