The Hoofddorp community center on Hankstraat will open its doors tomorrow for everyone who wants to talk about the deadly stabbing of yesterday morning. The municipality of Haarlemmermeer reports this.
Many Hoofdorpers were shocked after the deadly stabbing yesterday morning at Fanny Blankers-Koenlaan, in which two people died. The victims are two men aged 21 and 22.

Mayor talks to the neighborhood
Mayor Marianne Schuurmans of Haarlemmermeer, which includes Hoofddorp, went into the neighborhood today. There she spoke with local residents and entrepreneurs who said that they were ‘stripped’, the municipality reports.
“They thought it was terrible for those involved, and the injured police officers,” said the mayor. “I was impressed by shopkeepers who are working on local residents and passers -by, I would like to thank them very much for that.”

The mayor has also spoken to a few closest neighbors of the victims. “In some reports and on social media, many stories are circulating and sometimes other younger local residents are wrongly mentioned. That is not based on facts and taxing for these young people.”
