Miss Dea could also use a cup of coffee this morning. “I was awake all night, because my cat had run away,” she explains. “He came in this morning at 5 am. Now I am even more looking forward to this day.”

Holiday drawing

Soon the students of groups seven and eight will tell each other what the holiday was like. For group seven, Miss Dea is still a new face, so it is a day for everyone to get used to each other. There are also new places in the classroom. “Soon we will first make a holiday drawing,” says Dea. “It is still a bit exciting for group seven today, because they don’t know me so well yet.”

New school hours

The school has adjusted the times, so that parents and students had to be ready before the school building this morning for the welcome talk. Normally it started at 8.15 am. “I too was a bit late,” says Miss Dea.

It will be an exciting year for group seven, because they receive a provisional school advice. Group eight is getting ready this year to leave primary school. But that is all for later, now first discuss the holidays.
