Have you always wanted to go camping in a park near you? Wild camping is not allowed, but there is another way you can achieve this. The Neighborhood Camping.

The Neighborhood Camping is a national initiative in which local residents jointly set up a three-day pop-up campsite in their neighborhood. The goal? Get to know each other better and create fun.

This is how you do it

You don’t have to be a seasoned campsite owner to set up such a temporary camping spot. The foundation behind this project will give you a helping hand. You will receive part-time training, support in applying for permits and a volunteer allowance. Our neighbors in The Hague have been doing this for years!

For the summer of 2026, the Buurtcamping is looking for enthusiastic Zoetermeer residents who want to take part in this connecting project. Can you see it in your mind? You can register as a volunteer here. Or first live the online information evening on Wednesday, October 29.
