According to the club, 12,000 to 15,000 HSV fans are expected in the PreZero Arena, which has a total capacity of around 30,000 people. The Nordtribüne support group had previously called for people to stock up on tickets around the guest block under the motto “Everyone to Sinsheim”.

Polzin explained that the clear mandate was to go away not only to visit the stadiums, but also to be successful. The team recently won twice at home in a row, including the derby against Werder Bremen 3-2. They are currently in sixth place in the home table – but in last place away.

The coach now hopes that the fan effect will also be a good omen to break the series. The team wants to show that with the support behind them they can also deliver away from home.

HSV professional Nicolai Remberg regrets his behavior after the Hamburg derby win against Werder Bremen. The 25-year-old sparked a scuffle in front of the Werder bench by cheering provocatively. “That looked nasty for the Bremen players. I can understand their frustration,” said Remberg at an HSV Foundation event. He showed understanding for the Bremen players’ reaction to the provocation.

Remberg explained: “Such emotions are part of the game somewhere, because there is a lot at stake in a derby like this.” The midfielder emphasized: “Winning this gives you so many emotions. I was just relieved. That’s why it happened like that. But it wasn’t anything bad. It wasn’t like people really got together.”
