HJK was punished again – A harsh revelation from the head coach on Viaplay

The familiar euro story repeated itself. HJK’s lead failed again and it ended in a 1-1 draw in Aberdeen.

Bojan Miovski equalized the punts and scrapped HJK’s lead in the Conference League struggle. PDO

Bojan Radulovic roared at the top of his lungs.

Almost an hour had already been played at the Pittodrie Stadium when HJK grabbed a great opportunity. It all started with a sideline throw.

Try Soiri played a combination and dashed with the ball towards the end line. A pass in front of the goal, and Radulovic rattled the ball into the top corner of the Aberdeen goal.

Once again, HJK led the Conference League group stage match. The goal was Radulovic’s 23rd of the season.

– We played very well at times, and the game was well under our control for long periods, HJK pilot Toni Korkeakunnas said on Viaplay.

It wasn’t enough, and again HJK was disappointed.

Heads rattled

Richard Jensen of Huhkaji had a hard time. PDO

The first 45 minutes became 55 minutes.

Neither team played well. Filip Rogic got HJK’s best goal-scoring situation in the opening period, but pushed the half-volley over from the open spot.

When they should have defended their own box, the Club fell asleep. Cape Verdean striker Duk slipped free in the 10th minute between HJK’s toppers. A high vertical pass reached Duk’s head. Keeper Jesse Öst however saved with his great reaction booth.

Then heads rattled.

First, HJK’s Georgios Kanellopoulos carelessly elbowed Duke right in the head. The contact was a bit unlucky, but the Greek Kanellopoulos probably sighed that he didn’t even get a warning.

In the second half of the opening period, Aberdeen’s Finnish top scorer Richard Jensen felt hard. In a bump situation, his forehead crashed directly into the back of Duk’s head.

Blood came violently from the corner of Jensen’s eye. Fortunately for both Aberdeen and the Finns, the Huuhkajat top was not hurt worse, but was able to continue.

At the end of 10 minutes of extra time, HJK Matti Peltola had to leave the field due to a leg injury.

Peltola, who also dazzled in Huahkaji in September, seems to have continued his bad luck with injuries.

Once again, Bojan

Bojan Radulovic (on the ground) and other HJK players had time to wildly celebrate the 1–0 goal. PDO

Two weeks ago, against PAOK, HJK’s lead did not last.

In the Scottish coastal town, it got a second try after Radulovic had pressed the ball into the net.

Aberdeen raised their lines immediately and created pressure towards Öst’s goal.

Bojan was the name of the evening.

Moments earlier, Radulovic had the top spot at the Aberdeen end, when Tuomas Ollila focused wonderfully. He didn’t hit.

A few minutes later Aberdeen Bojan Miovski acknowledged. Jensen sent the ball into the box. Miro Tenho continued it in the completely wrong direction, and Miovski headed to make it 1–1.

– It’s a shame that the three points escaped. To be fair, the game was under pressure from Aberdeen towards the end. So you can be quite satisfied with the score.

– We should have been able to keep the ball for longer periods at the end. We joined Aberdeen’s chaos ball, Korkeakunnas regretted.

The club coach revealed in an interview with Viaplay that goalkeeper Öst saved a great game while suffering from the flu.

– Such a bonus was also received. Even during the day, his playing condition was uncertain

Tenho also had to leave the field when the cramps hit.

The Huuhkajat pilot must also be scratching his head Markku Kanerva, when three toppers selected for the EC qualifiers got bumps.

HJK’s most recent victory in the group stage of the Euro tournament is from November 2021. After that victory in Alashkert, there have of course been points, but not the full three.

That next victory was again waiting to come.
