Yıldız Tilbe also filed a criminal complaint against people who sent insulting and threatening messages about her on social media. Yıldız Tilbe, who applied to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office with her lawyer, also made a press statement regarding the allegations against her before presenting her petition to the prosecutor’s office.
“DOGS THAT SHALL SHOULD BE CURED”
Expressing that she was very impressed after seeing the children who were attacked and injured by the dog, the artist said, “Because I was very impressed, I wrote a few sentences about aggressive dogs. Because I am a Muslim, people die and animals die. I said die. I’ve been hit very hard by this word. Then let him be put to sleep, but let the children roam freely on the street. Let the old people go to the mosque in the morning in peace. The villagers are torn to pieces on their way to their fields. Let them go. Let the children play in the parks. Stating that she heard curses she had never heard in her life, Yıldız Tilbe said, “Neither my mother, my father, my body, my personality, nor my art have left anything. That’s why it was so strong for me. Actually, I was going to pass this event, but why should I be so insulted? For defending humanity? Is it because I said that dogs should not tear children and old people apart? I am not an animal hater,” she said.
“WHY SHOULD PEOPLE SHUT UP?”
Yıldız Tilbe said, “No living thing that harms human beings has the right to live,” and said, “No matter what, humans should be the priority. I think human life is sacred. Animals should also be treated with mercy. Shame on them and them too. Why should they tear people apart, why should they be killed? Whether they are educated, domesticated or looked after, I think like this. I had no other intentions,” he said.

Stating that he had a hard time and cried a lot, Tilbe said, “I didn’t deserve it. They call me the ‘killer’. I cried a lot, I cried for days. Finally, I decided to seek my legal right. Because these people are trying to question me to the point of my sanity because I said ‘Wild animals should be eliminated’. It’s the lawyer who did it. Very shameful! A dog can tear your child apart, too. Your aunt, your mother, a relative. This should not be the case, we must join hands and find a solution as sane people living in this country.”
