One of the driving forces behind this protest action is Stijn’s family. “We notice with our children that they see the violent images, but they can’t do anything with it. We don’t adult either. So let’s give the children tools to express their feelings.”
With several families there is therefore in recent days Hard work to set up this promotion.
When asked whether this heavy subject is something for children, Stijn resolutely answered. “It is just a subject for children. They can explain in detail when something is wrong,” he emphasizes. “They are just people.”
‘Mayor must also express himself’
The procession ends at the town hall, where they are met by Mayor Gerhard van den Top. The hope is that he also speaks out in the same way and that he will encourage his fellow mayor to do the same.
“How incredibly beautiful that you came to the town hall with so many people to carry this message,” the mayor compliments all the families present.
