A 21-year-old woman from Hilvarenbeek died on Sunday after a fall during skiing in the French ski area Val Thorens. This is a bar employee (21) from football club Hilvaria.
“Every Sunday afternoon she worked with enthusiasm and a nice smile behind the bar, where she was a familiar and appreciated face for many members of our association,” the club says in a message on the website. “We will miss her warm personality and cosiness enormously.”
Blue piste
The woman had fallen hard on a blue slope around eleven on Sunday morning, reports the French channel ICI. After that fall, she slid through and ended up on a nearby competition track.
The alarm was immediately sounded. But when care providers arrived, the woman was already unconscious. She was taken to a hospital in Grenoble. There she died.
