Highsnobiety appoints new editor-in-chief and head of North America

The Berlin streetwear pioneer Highsnobiety has filled three key positions.

Noah Johnson will become editor-in-chief and Caitlin LeRoux will take on the role of general manager for North America, Highsnobiety announced Wednesday. Tom Lee will also be appointed Head of Creative.

New York-based editor Johnson brings a keen editorial eye and deep understanding of modern men’s fashion. He was most recently Global Style Director at the menswear magazine GQ. He has held other positions at magazines and platforms such as Details, Style.com and Complex and has written for the New York Times, New York Magazine and the Wall Street Journal, among others. At Highsnobiety he is responsible for the print and digital editorial team.

“I have admired Noah’s ability to bring a fresh, smart and consistently accurate perspective on style, culture and storytelling for many years,” said Highsnobiety CEO David Fischer. “He has an innate ability to find the stories you didn’t know needed to be told and tell them with depth and authenticity.”

LeRoux is now responsible for managing the North American business from the New York office, succeeding Nichelle Sanders, who only took on this role at the beginning of the year. LeRoux joined Highsnobiety ten years ago as Brand Partnerships Executive and most recently led the expansion into the UK, tripling the size of the London Highsnobiety team.

Lee also knows his way around Highsnobiety and was active as Creative Director from 2018 to 2021. He also gained experience at other creative industry companies such as Matte Projects, B-Reel and Vice/Virtue. He is known for developing bold concepts and implementing big ideas, according to the statement.

All three will lead their teams from the New Yorker starting January 6th.
