“Cold is not an issue for the time being,” says NH weatherman Jan Visser on NH Radio to everyone hoping for a cold December. According to Visser, it will be about 13 degrees today, even though the differences in the country are large. On the Wadden Islands the mercury rises to about 11 degrees, while in Limburg it reaches 15 degrees. “These are really unprecedented high temperatures.”
According to the weatherman, even date records could be broken in the coming days. “A date record in itself does not say much, but if there are several, it says something about the mild character of winter,” Visser explains.
This morning it will be dry and the sun may break through for a while, although there are mainly clouds. “There may be a few showers this afternoon,” the weatherman said. Tonight it will remain dry at first, but it may rain later.
Sun and less rain
“Tomorrow we will initially have a pale sun,” says Visser. Then it will rain for a while, but it will probably remain dry in the afternoon. It will be 13 to 14 degrees. The wind blows from the south and is quite strong to strong on the coast and the IJsselmeer.
Wednesday it will be 12 to 13 degrees. “The chances of rain are decreasing,” the weatherman predicts for the rest of the week. “It looks quite friendly on Thursday and Friday with some sun.” It will then be about 10 degrees.
