A criminal gang has stolen the photos of a few thousand people working at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven and probably published them on the dark web. The cause is a hack at ID-ware access card company, reports the Eindhovens Dagblad.

ID-ware provides access systems for all kinds of companies and governments. Last week, ID-ware announced that it had been the victim of a hacking attack. All kinds of data were captured and eventually published online.

Possibly more victims
In the case of the High Tech Campus, it concerns a few thousand people who are victims, including chipmaker NXP and Philips, who are located on the Campus. Chip machine maker ASML from Veldhoven and Philips itself are also customers of ID-ware. The company could not say Friday whether data from ASML was also stolen.
