Eindhoven air traffic resumes after drone sighting
Air traffic at Eindhoven Airport resumed on Saturday evening after a temporary closure due to several drone sightings. Defense has taken measures, but details are not known. Drones had previously also been spotted at Volkel air base. The incidents fit into a broader European trend of drone disruptions at airports and military bases, with Belgium being particularly hard hit. Experts suspect that some drones are more advanced than hobby drones, which could indicate organized disruption, possibly to sow confusion. The origin of the drones is usually unclear, but Russia denies involvement, except for an incident in Poland where F-35s had to intervene.
