Iltalehti previously reported how a Swedish watchdog Hugo Alnefelt is close to moving to HIFK. Now the matter was confirmed From the Hockey Association’s player register.

The club has not officially published the agreement. According to Iltalehti, Alnefelt is already in Helsinki.

The 24-year-old and 191-centimeter ALNEFELT arrives in Helsinki from the Swedish Main Series Society HV71, which played 28 matches last season with a 90.0 percentage of fighting and 3.01 with a score of 3.01.

This season, the Swedish goalkeeper has not been responsible in the club’s shirt.

Prior to his return to Sweden, Alnefelt spent three seasons in North America in the Tampa Bay Lightning organization, where he mainly fought in the AHL with Syracuse Crunch’s goal.

The Swedish guard was marked once in the NHL statistics once in the season 2021-22 when he played one match in Lightning’s shirt.
