Hidden for centuries, but now secret imperial tunnel under Colosseum is open to the public

Romans and tourists can take a look at a tunnel under the Colosseum for the first time later this month. The ‘Passage of Commodus’ was used by emperors during Roman times to be able to enter and leave the amphitheater unseen. The tunnel was hidden for centuries and has been considerably restored in recent years.
