In the 2nd Bundesliga, Kennet Eichhorn is the focus of all the top clubs. Now he is about to leave Berlin.

Rumors have been circulating for months about a change for junior national player Kennet Eichhorn. According to consistent media reports, Hertha BSC’s top talent has now made his decision. According to information from Sky and “The Athletic”, the midfielder is moving to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

The Eichhorn side has already promised the “Werkself”, all other interested parties have been rejected. It was already leaked on Tuesday morning that Eichhorn and his team had decided against RB Leipzig. Previously, clubs such as FC Bayern, BVB and Liverpool FC were also traded.

Leverkusen is reportedly transferring eight to nine million euros to Hertha BSC, where 16-year-old Eichhorn became a professional last summer. The capital city club has to sell its top talent well below market value; the portal “transfermarkt.de” estimates this at 20 million euros. The significantly cheaper transfer fee is made possible by an exit clause.

Eichhorn, who moved to Hertha BSC at the age of seven, completed an impressive first season as a professional in the 2nd Bundesliga. The central midfielder played in 20 competitive games for the capital club, scoring two goals. He became the youngest player and the youngest goalscorer in the history of the second division.
