Sales candidate at Hertha
Mainz 05 continues to prepare in central midfield for possible departures from Anton Stach or Leandro Barreiro. After the Bundesliga team had already been linked to Tom Krauss in the past few days, according to “Kicker” ex-FSV professional Suat Serdar is also on the list of possible successors.
After relegation with Hertha BSC, the 26-year-old is one of the candidates for sale at the capital club and could return to his youth club. The “kicker” suspects that Hertha Serdar would give up half of the transfer fee paid to Schalke in the summer of 2021 (€8 million) despite the contract valid until 2026. Serdar was one of the long-running favorites at Hertha this season and was on the field in 32 of 34 games, only Lucas Tousart was used more often by all field players. With a market value of 6.5 million euros, he is the fourth most valuable player in the squad and the fourth most valuable homegrown player in Mainz.
