Hertha BSC binds storm talent in the long term

Bundesliga relegated Hertha BSC has committed storm talent Derry Scherhant to themselves in the long term. The capital club gave the 20-year-old a new contract until 2027.

Scherhant had moved to the professional team in the course of the past season, and the native of Berlin scored once in ten games in the upper house.

“Derry plays an important role in our planning,” said Hertha’s sporting director Benjamin Weber: “He already gained Bundesliga experience last season, now we trust him to take the next step in development. With his dynamism, Derry will be a valuable option for our offensive game.”
