Hertha BSC apparently has to let one of its greatest talents move to the Bundesliga. According to information from “AZ/WAZ”, Bence Dárdai (18) is moving to VfL Wolfsburg next summer. Because the contract of coach Pál Dárdai’s youngest son is expiring, no transfer fee is due for him.

The midfielder has been with the Old Lady since 2012 and made it into the first team this season, which also includes his brothers Márton (22) and Palkó (24). The youngster has played nine games so far and contributed one goal and two assists. However, he missed large parts of the season due to an ankle injury and was last on the pitch for the professionals at the end of October. He recently celebrated his comeback in the reserves.

Last summer, Dárdai was given a starting value of 500,000 euros, but its market value is now 2 million euros. He will be one of the most valuable free transfer departures in Hertha’s club history, as a look at the TM database shows. It will look similar at VfL Wolfsburg with regard to the most valuable signings for free (for an overview).
