Heroic secures final spot in Blast Premier Showdown

Heroic qualified for the Finals tournament by beating Astralis in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Blast Premier Fall Showdown tournament. Co-favorite Team Vitality had previously failed.

“It’s especially nice to win the derby against Astralis. I thought we’d play with it at the Arena in Copenhagen, but we need a few more wins,” said Heroic player Jakob “Jabbi” Nygaard after the game. “The audience will be on our side now that Astralis isn’t there. It could be a sick experience

be informed.”

For some participants, the tournament was not only about a starting place in the Blast final, but also about important match practice before the major in Rio, which is due in less than a week. The biggest surprise, however, came from a team that is not there: Astralis eliminated Team Vitality in the semifinals, recovering from the missed qualification.

However, the final was determined by Danish local rivals Heroic, who only really had to tremble on the first map. With the 2-0 win, the team is in good shape going into the most important tournament of the year.
