Heroic poses on the way to Berlin

A photo entirely to the taste of Till Lindemann. The singer in a heroic pose on the famous Chain Bridge over the Danube. Here Rammstein play their second stadium concert in Budapest in the Puskás Arena. No sign of protests.

The major Hungarian daily newspaper “Népszava” had already soberly summarized the state of affairs regarding the allegations of abuse against the singer. The online business forum “Világgazdaság” (VG) is currently documenting the inflation rate in the Orban Republic based on the drink prices at the concert.

Otherwise normal stadium rock operation in Budapest.

The protests against the band seem to be limited to German-speaking countries. In addition to the expected protests in front of the Berlin Olympic Stadium this weekend, where Rammstein will play a triple set, there is resistance for the guest performance in Vienna’s Prater on July 26th.

According to the local press, the #aufstehn initiative promises a rally in front of the Ernst Happel Stadium. In a message under the motto “No stage for perpetrators”, a “strong signal” is to be set not far from the banks of the Danube.

According to its own presentation on the internet, #aufstehn is “a community of over 365,000 committed people from all over Austria. Together we are committed to positive cooperation, social justice, fair business and the protection of our planet.”

The initiative’s website says: “There are serious allegations of sexual harassment and sexualised violence against Rammstein front singer Till Lindemann. The band rejects all allegations and continues their tour as if nothing had happened. For us it is clear: As long as the incidents are not clarified, the concerts are not a safe place for visitors.

So far, more than 16,000 people have signed a corresponding petition.

The Lindemann lawyers have issued a “cease and desist” notice against the German counterpart of Campact, which has around 70,000 supporters. We are talking about seriously defamatory statements of fact. Campact does not want to comply with this request so far.
