The Darts World Cup starts in a few days. t-online tells you where you can follow the duels of all starters live.
From December 11th to January 3rd, darts will once again be thrown into centimeter-sized fields in London’s Alexandra Palace, the “Ally Pally”, in front of a roaring crowd. This year, for the first time, 128 players will be taking part in the 33rd Darts World Championship of the PDC Association.
There is good news for all darts fans. The entire tournament will be available to watch on free TV. Sport1 secured the rights. There is also the pay TV offering from the streaming service DAZN. Both platforms will broadcast more than 100 hours of the event starting on Thursday (from 8 p.m.).
Sport1 shows a special program on Wednesday evening with highlights from the previous year and then broadcasts around 150 hours live from the 36 sessions over 20 days. Katharina Kleinfeldt and Jana Wosnitza will moderate, and Max Hopp will also be an expert during the event. The German darts professional has qualified for the World Cup and will switch to TV announcer mode after a possible elimination.
The paid streaming service DAZN, which closely follows the darts season outside of the World Cup, shows every session from “Ally Pally” live. Elmar Paulke is the main commentator. Part of the expert team is Florian Hempel, who did not qualify this year.
The Darts World Cup starts on December 11th. There will be afternoon and evening sessions every day until Christmas. Exception: Due to the holidays, there will be a break from December 24th to 26th and December 31st. Third round and round of 16 games are played between years. In the new year the quarter-finals, semi-finals and on January 3rd the grand final will start at 9 p.m.
