In 2003, the romantic comedy “Love Actually” brought together a total of nine Christmas love stories. Almost 20 years later, the actors in director Richard Curtis’ film reunite. The US broadcaster ABC announced the reunion special entitled “The Laughter & Secrets of Love Actually: 20 Years Later”.

“Now, more than ever, we all actually need… love,” the statement said on Twitter. A trailer was released showing excerpts from the reunion and interviews with film journalist Diane Sawyer. Accordingly, stars such as Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson as well as young actors from the time such as Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Olivia Olson will take part in the reunion.

The special will first air on November 29 on ABC and later on the Hulu streaming service. Hulu is not yet available in Germany, whether and how you can watch the reunion in Germany is not yet known.

The episodic film “Love Actually” told Christmas stories about love in overlapping episodes, ranging from the first crush to marital difficulties and a British Prime Minister in love. The film also starred other stars like Keira Knightley, Heike Makatsch, Andrew Lincoln and Martin Freeman who don’t appear to be involved in the reunion. Alan Rickman, who also starred in the film, passed away in 2016.
