Herbert Grönemeyer is coming to the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen for the final concert of his current “Live 2023 Tour” on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.
A good two weeks ago, Herbert Grönemeyer started his 2023 live tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. After ten indoor concerts in Germany and Vienna, his stadium appearances are now on the agenda. On June 9th he stops for it in the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen. On the tour, Herbert Grönemeyer will present numerous old songs as well as his new album “Das ist los”. It is the artist’s 16th studio album and was released on March 24, 2023.
Herbert Grönemeyer will play a total of four open-air concerts with his band this June. It starts on June 2nd in Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park. After the concert in Leipzig, Grönemeyer and his band will play in the Berlin Waldbühne for two days. The tour ends on June 9th in the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
Grönemeyer supported the singer-songwriters Balbina and Schmyt as support acts on his “Das ist los Tour 2023”.

Arrival by public transport:
The best way for users of public transport to get to the club premises is to take tram line 302, which runs from Bochum Hbf via Gelsenkirchen Hbf in the direction of GE-Buer to the “Veltins-Arena” stop, i.e. directly to the concert.
The tram stop is on the first basement floor of Gelsenkirchen main station. Concert-goers can take tram line 302 (direction GE-Buer) directly to the “Veltins-Arena” stop. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
People with restricted mobility should get off at the “Willy-Brandt-Allee” stop, as this stop is barrier-free and only slightly further from the arena.

Arrival by car:
Concert-goers can reach the arena directly by car via exit 6 (Gelsenkirchen-Buer) on the A2 and exit 17 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke) on the A42. From the junctions, simply follow the signs to the Veltins Arena.
The parking guidance system guides visitors quickly and directly to the free parking spaces on and around the Arena grounds. Alternatively, you can use the navigation system to get to car parks A, B, C1, C2, C3 and the cinema center by entering “Adenauerallee”. For car parks D1, D2, D3, D4, E1 and E2, simply enter “Willy-Brandt-Allee”. A total of 14,000 parking spaces are available on site.
