mr. HCD (Henk) Korvinus is appointed as the new chairman of the board of the Institute for Mining Damage Groningen (IMG). The Council of Ministers has decided to nominate him on the proposal of Minister Weerwind for Legal Protection.
Korvinus, 67, was Inspector General at the Ministry of Justice and Security until January 1, 2023. He previously served as deputy chief public prosecutor in the Northern Netherlands, adviser at the Ministry of General Affairs, chief public prosecutor in The Hague and Rotterdam, judge and subdistrict court judge.
Korvinus’ appointment will take effect on 15 May and will be for a period of 4 years. He succeeds Professor SCJJ (Bas) Kortmann.
