Heilooër’s vote accidentally went to another candidate, even after a recount the same result

The recount in Heiloo does not yield a different result, the municipality said. One vote was accidentally given to the wrong candidate from the same list. Thanks to the attention of the voter himself, this has now been restored.

In Heiloo it was not a recount of all votes, but one list from a polling station. A resident reported the error after he didn’t see his vote anywhere. “After all votes have been counted, it is possible to view the results per polling station. This resident had voted for a candidate, but afterwards he received zero votes.”

After the report, the Electoral Council ordered an investigation. From the A recount indeed shows that one vote for another candidate from the same list had been counted. The total number of votes for the party therefore remains the same. “That has now been amended in a corrigendum. A new report has been drawn up. This will be taken to the main polling station in Haarlem today.”
