Choice of actor Heikki Kinnusen, 79 song of my life –in the program took him to the memories of his youth.

Lauri Mikkola presented A rich man if I were -song, from the background of which, among other things Mind blowing-some kind of story came out of the actor known from the movies.

– If that song is not Heikki Kinnusen’s, I don’t understand who it is, presenter Katja Ståhl said before the revelation.

In his memories, the song took Kinnusen to the locker room of the Old Student Hall, which he says was barren and narrow.

In addition to one senior assistant and Kinnusen himself, the dressing room was also occupied by Esko Roine and Vesa-Matti Loiri. The whole trio were theater school students in their early twenties at the time.

After the play’s first dance rehearsals, Kinnunen tells, among other things, how Vesa-Matti Loiri arrived from backstage in complete ecstasy, dancing across the stage.

– With a terrible rush to the stands. Heikki Värtsi was extremely hurt when here others are serious and someone is joking.

According to Kinnusen’s stories, Vesa-Matti Loir’s antics did not stop there. The dressing room they shared had nothing but dressing tables and a clothes rack in the back.

– What does Vesku Loiri say? I have such a secret in this room, guys, that when I go there, you’ll never find it, Kinnunen says and makes the audience burst into laughter.

This became a common joke. Kinnunen and Roine are looking for Loir.

– Oh my, where is Vesku? The show starts and Vesku is nowhere to be seen…

According to Kinnusen, Loiri was standing on the windowsill with only a piece of cardboard in front of his face. This went on longer, and the older assistant could not stand the company of the trio of theater school students.

– One beautiful time Vesku was under the carpet. Where is Vesku when the show starts…

– Here, here, Kinnunen says that Loir always shouted.

Loiri then appeared from under the carpet in her new fine blue suit, which had turned completely grey. The carpet had not been brushed for a long time.

The song of my life – the audience squeals at memories related to Loir. And Kinnusen’s memories don’t end there.

The trio also once assisted in the operetta Perintöruhtinas, where Roine and Loiri played lackeys.

– Everything went well until one beautiful time the boys decided to make masks. Esko made a skull mask and Vesku made the first version of Uuno Turhapuro, Kinnunen reveals.

– You can imagine Vesku. Well, Stig Fransman comes in as an exhausted hereditary prince, sees the lackeys and goes backstage, Kinnunen says.

Loiri warmly assured after the play how the action was stupid and it would not happen again.

– The song reminds me of that wonderful dressing room, Kinnunen finishes his story and the audience rewards him with wild applause and whistles.

In the same episode as Kinnusen, the stories behind the songs of their lives were told by writer Raija Oranen, singer Meiju Suvas, journalist Seija Vaaherkumpu, and opera singer Jaakko Ryhänen.
