The McLaren pilots can currently be satisfied. However, a shown video triggers discussions. Now world champion Verstappen said.
In the driver’s ranking of Formula 1, McLaren-Pilot Lando Norris is only one point from Red Bull world champion Max Verstappen. Behind it is the teammate of Norris, Oscar Piatri. McLaren was already a favorite at the beginning of the season because it emerged how good the racing car is – but there are exactly this discussions.
More precisely: around the rear. On social media, a video makes the round that shows the rear of McLaren compared to another car. The difference: the rear of McLaren is slightly flexible. Among other things, the video was shared by Jos Verstappen, the father of the world champion. Max Verstappen himself commented on the situation before the race in Bahrain on Sunday: “A lot of people see what I see. Everyone tries to explore the boundaries. Now the FIA has to decide” and further: “I do not do the rules. I don’t monitor it either.”
So far, the World Automobile Association has not responded. There is no formal complaint and no investigation has been initiated. According to information from the specialist portal “The Race”, the allegations are not durable anyway. The pictures of the on-board cameras are often distorted.
