Hechter Paris brings former boss manager Ingo Wilts back on board

Ingo Wilts returns to Hechter Paris. The former boss manager, who worked for the brand back in the 1990s, will be responsible for design, marketing and licensing at Hechter Paris.

In recent years, Hechter Paris has undergone a restructuring of its business. The teams in the Paris headquarters worked together under the direction of Tanguy Mulliez and in the German office with Sascha Mader and Ulrich Franke as managing directors. In 2023, the Aulbach company decided to make a makeover and “Daniel Hechter” became “Hechter Paris”.

The return of Ingo Wilts should also give the label a new image aimed at younger, fashion-conscious and digitally oriented consumers.

“Ingo Wilts has international expertise, a very charismatic personality and excellent global experience in the areas of products, licenses and marketing,” said Sascha Mader in a statement on Tuesday. “He has all the qualifications to help Hechter Paris return to sales and profit growth and increase desirability of our brand to end consumers.”

Wilts left Hugo Boss last year. According to his profile on the career network LinkedIn, he worked there as creative director from 2004 to 2009 and before returning to Metzingen as Chief Brand Officer in 2018 to be responsible for the general creative direction of the collections. Wilts has also worked as a creative director for brands Kenneth Cole, Elie Tahari and Tommy Hilfiger throughout his career.
