‘Heavy boy’ Bas (51) figurehead of jubilating rugby club Emmen. ‘That clumsy work is wonderful’

The celebration of the 40th anniversary of Rugbyclub Emmen – on Saturday 6 September – coincides almost with the Jubilee of Bas Perik. The 51-year-old Emmenaar has grown into one of the heads of the club. It is the story of ‘heavy boy’ to inspired youth trainer, who is averse to egos and cherishes the team interest.
