Since 1 February, home owners who are going to renovate can be forced to install solar panels or a heat pump due to new green rules. This is the result of a European directive, which was pushed through in the Netherlands despite fierce criticism and two protest motions from the House of Representatives. The end of the expensive green meddling is not yet in sight.
