Nicol Kremers is appealing against the fine of 90,000 euros that she has to pay to her ex-partner Peter Gillis. The fine was imposed on her last year for violating a confidentiality agreement nine times. According to her lawyer, the situation is different now, because Gillis has now been criminally convicted for assaulting Kremers. The court will consider the case again. PSV’s new away shirt is causing a lot of discussion. The pink-purple-orange design is called a fruit sprinkle shirt online. PSV merchandise manager Arne van Breugel defends the design: the shirt is intended for a youthful target group and had a good first sales day. There is also musical news. Carnival band de Kapotte Kachels from Eindhoven was in court on Wednesday against record label Universal Music. The publishing company wants their song ‘Dikke Pens’ to be removed from Spotify, because Abba does not tolerate parodies of their hit ‘Take a chance on me’. Both songs were played in the courtroom. The band believes that the parody should be possible, also on streaming services. Judgment will follow on July 29. Check out the story here.

The RIVM has declared the National Heat Plan in force from 10 am on Thursday. The temperature in Brabant will rise to 35 degrees on Friday, causing code yellow to be issued. The heat plan is a warning for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, young children and the chronically ill. The advice: drink enough, avoid exertion at the hottest time and keep the curtains closed.

Finally, some political news from Den Bosch. Councilor Pieter Paul Slikker survived a vote of no confidence after a fierce emergency debate on asylum reception. The opposition accuses the council of informing the municipal council too late about plans for the reception of 50 underage refugees in Engelen. WOO documents show that COA had contact about the location as early as October 2024. The coalition continued to support the councilor, which meant that the motion did not receive a majority.
