The GGD will stop the priority tests for healthcare employees. Because there are currently few tests being taken and the test results are coming in quickly, priority for healthcare workers is no longer necessary.
With the abolition of the priority tests, care employees no longer have to make an appointment via a separate telephone number. From last Monday, healthcare employees can schedule an appointment online. In April, the GGD already stopped priority tests for education and childcare staff.
It is quiet on the test streets because after a positive self-test you no longer have to do a test at the GGD. That is why the GGD is also adjusting the opening hours of the test street in Leiden. From May 30, the test location at the ECC at the Haagse Schouwweg will be open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. The vaccination location is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 08:00 to 14:30. The vaccination site is closed on the other days.
