We last reported on the Deftones in July:
Returning home and working with Nick Raskulinecz
The artwork for Deftones’ upcoming album Private Music features a bright green background with a white snake crawling across it. The band also released the eleven-song tracklist for Private Music, including titles such as “souvenir”, “cut hands”, “metal dream” and “departing the body”.
The album represents a homecoming of sorts for band members Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham and Frank Delgado, who produced the project alongside Nick Raskulinecz in Malibu, Joshua Tree and Nashville. Raskulinecz previously worked with the band on Diamond Eyes in 2010 and Koi No Yokan in 2012.
The album’s release will be celebrated with a show on the evening of August 22nd in Vancouver, before stops in cities such as Minneapolis, Buffalo, Toronto, Cleveland, Baltimore, St. Louis, Denver, Louisville and Sacramento as part of their own tour and festival appearances. Deftones take the bands Phantogram and Idles on tour for their own concerts.

Deftones’ last album, “Ohms”, was released in September 2020. It contains songs like “Genesis”, “The Spell of Mathematics” and “Ceremony”. After the Covid-19 pandemic, the band went on tour with this album in 2021.
