“He wanted to die a martyr’s death in the name of God”: King Baudouin’s family testifies after beatification announcement

Two relatives of King Baudouin have testified in Spanish Catholic media about his deep faith now that the king’s beatification by the Vatican has been initiated. For them there is no doubt that Baldwin was a holy man. “I think many heads of state felt there was something different about the way he treated them. There was something supernatural about him.”
