Children’s ICUs full of young babies with RS virus. ‘There are many babies in the ICU, especially in the north’

There are currently many young children in pediatric intensive care units with serious respiratory problems due to the RS virus, a spokesperson for the Dutch Association for Pediatrics (NVK) confirms after reports from NOS and AD. This also puts pressure on the planned care in the children’s ICUs. Operations or treatments for children are therefore being postponed in several hospitals.
