HBL: Foxes extend their lead

Füchse Berlin have extended their lead at the top of the Handball Bundesliga.

Coach Jaron Siewert’s team celebrated their fifth win in a row with the 30:28 (16:12) at HC Erlangen on Saturday evening and now has 27:3 points. Follower THW Kiel (24:4) can catch up at HSG Wetzlar on Sunday (2:00 p.m.).

The big favorite from Berlin took a three-goal lead in the middle of the first half, but was unable to gain a decisive advantage. The game remained open until the final minute, but Erlangen didn’t want to equalize.

The top scorer for the front runner was Hans Lindberg with nine goals, national player Paul Drux scored six times.
