HayaBusa wins BK Skydiving in Komen

14 Belgian teams took turns against each other yesterday in the 15 meter high floating tunnel. But it is HayaBusa who takes home the first prize. The skydive team has also held the title of reigning formation jumping world champion since 2014.

‘It was nevertheless exciting’, says Jeroen Nollet, member of HayaBusa who comes from Poperinge. “We have a new member in the group and we also need to get him up to level and speed.”

During the competition, the participants had to form 10 imposed figures by gripping each other’s legs and hands in a certain way as they float in the air. With a team of 4 people each, they had to be able to form 10 figures in 35 seconds. Each team floated in the gliding tunnel 10 times. At the bottom of the tunnel is a large fan that blows the participants into the air. The jury watched all the video images of the formations after the jumps and thus awarded points.
