The Consumer Ombudsman had to intervene in the illegal activities of online stores. The FCA (KKV) announces that the Consumer Ombudsman has checked that payment methods and compliance with the Consumer Protection Act in ten Nordic online stores in December to January. The purpose was to find out how the stores follow a rule that came into force in 2023, which is intended to direct consumers to pay their purchases primarily by means of payment methods that do not postpone the payment.
