Manchester City has a new goal scorer. Ex-Frankfurt Omar Marmoush succeeded in not only his first goal for the new club in his third Premier League game against Newcastle United (4-0), the Egyptian scored a flawless hatchet at historical speed. Marmoush needed 14 minutes between the 19th and 33rd minute for the 3-0 lead of the Skyblues against the seventh place from Tyne. He was not the fastest of the history of the league, but he did the same with colleagues Erling Haaland, who scored three times in a row two years ago.

“We knew,” said coach Pep Guardiola after the game that he was not surprised by Marmoush’s breakthrough at the Citizens. In Germany, the striker finally produced good numbers. Neither in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg nor in the 2nd league for FC St. Pauli, Marmoush had scored three goals in one game. Only in the regional league for the reserve of the wolves had the 35-time international in a 5-0 against HSC Hannover had given three times (all goals in Marmoush’s career in a list).

Now it was a hat trick for Man City and in less than a quarter of an hour. 36 players since Premier League was succeeded, 28 were faster than Marmoush, Haaland took just as long with his fastest hat trick. Ex-Bayern attacker Sadio Mané had completed Liverpool FC in the 2014/15 season to put a hat trick within three minutes, as well as Ole Gunnar Solskjær for Manchester United in the 1998/99 season. Eleven players managed the triple pack in less than ten minutes (to the fastest three -packs of the Premier League).

In the clear victory against Newcastle, City also benefited from hair -raising mistakes on the defensive of the guests who only had a chance before the break. To do this, Marmoush used his possibilities ice cold and steel Haaland also steel the show. After 76 minutes, Marmoush was then replaced with thunderous applause. Substitute James McATee (84th) set the final point to 4: 0.
