Manchester City has a new goal scorer. Ex-Frankfurt Omar Marmoush succeeded in not only his first goal for the new club in his third Premier League game against Newcastle United (4-0), the Egyptian scored a flawless hatchet at historical speed. Marmoush needed 14 minutes between the 19th and 33rd minute for the 3-0 lead of the Skyblues against the seventh place from Tyne. He was not the fastest of the history of the league, but he did the same with colleagues Erling Haaland, who scored three times in a row two years ago.
“We knew,” said coach Pep Guardiola after the game that he was not surprised by Marmoush’s breakthrough at the Citizens. In Germany, the striker finally produced good numbers.
